Here are a few of the pictures I took, the ladies were good sports and I learned a lot. I had watched a video earlier in the day about lighting, so I was trying to apply some of the things and of course after I took all the pictures I remembered some of the things they told me NOT to do which I did. As a photographer I like a lot a variety, backdrops locations arrangements. This proves hard in a Studio because to really master the lighting you can't make so many changes all the time. So I need to simplify my process in the studio and understand my limitations.

Grandpa

My grandpa would cut pussy- willows for my grandma each year. They were such a treat to her, she loved them and he loved her. Every time I see pussy willows I think of them. I don't think these are actually pussy willows but similar enough for me.

I stopped by my favorite fabric store today to find fun new prints to use as backdrops. I found the coolest boy collection, I bought a wood grain print and this blue print. The fabrics add interest to studio shots and a little personality, I think. I have a bunch of other more feminine prints I'm sure you will be seeing soon.

I watched a tutorial on Kelby Training on how to take photo's like these. I didn't have the exact lighting he did but fairly close. I'm going to be taking social networking photos next week so I'm coming up with a variety of options. I really like this one and It is really easy.
