Day 2

Everyone says having a puppy is like having a baby. I roll my eyes at that because when a mom has a baby it is up to the mom to care for its basic needs. This puppy has 7 mothers so we all take turns. Not the same. However this morning while the puppy was crying in his crate and we were leaving for church, my husband and I look at each other with sympathetic eyes, and couldn't leave with him crying that like that. So my husband stayed home, got him to sleep then quietly sneaked out to go to church. Returning promptly after the first block to take care of him again. Tonight the oldest child gets to play mom and sleep with him on the back porch. I am crossing my fingers that she makes it through the night and that I won't have to stay up with him.
