So Sad!
So I took a whole bunch of really really cute pictures of my kids after they went trunk or treating at our church. I didn't get to download them and they accidentally got erased. This is the first time I have EVER done this. I am always so good and when I hit the format button I instantly knew what I had done. So I sketched (very quickly) one of the cute pictures of my son with his hands full of suckers, that was all he cared about. He was a warm fuzzy giraffe for Halloween. There were also great shots of the candy and the others in their costumes. OH WELL, at least they weren't client pictures.

Hand Gloves
Look at my really cool Hand Gloves! My sister in-law made me this pair, she made some really cute ones for the girls except theirs are short and mine are long. If your looking for a cute gift for someone for Christmas she is taking orders through me. It takes about 2 weeks to get. She will even make them the color of your choice. The short ones are $10 and the long like the ones in the picture are $20. My daughter has already sold a few pairs to girls at school. We think they are fun and a funky with a slight grunge appeal. My nephew has also requested a pair, he calls them hobo gloves.

Good Times
You must read this entry to fully appreciate this picture! I had the chance to photograph a lovely family this evening. Sometimes I can get discouraged about photography as a business but then I get to photograph families with such fun kids. I love photographing kids! This boy in the picture was busy setting the scene for his photo while I was taking his sisters photo. He placed the chair just so, added the mat arranged it all in front of this great old door. This was his vision. I must admit that my composition breaks a lot of rules but I like it, sometimes it's good to break rules every so often, plus it tells a story and extra bonus.

Mousse
My hair is straight with bumps, no good curl. My daughter has partially curly hair which has proven to be a challenge. It usually turns frizzy so she keeps it in braids a lot. Today we tried mousse, combed the tangles out while it's wet, add the mousse and scrunch the curls back. It turned out not so frizzy, hurray! Her hair also looks good flat ironed but that takes time and if there is a lot of humidity it doesn't last. Here is a funny fact for my western friends and family, they have a frizz index here, so you can properly prepair for frizzy hair days. High Frizz index for me means that all the new hairs that are not as long as my average hair length curl and frizz like a halo, very attractive. Got to love it!

Chip or Dale?
I decided to work on the yard today, trying to get things ready for the winter and trying to minimize work for the spring. As I worked I spied our cat strolling across the lawn with something it it's mouth. She lied down about 5 feet from me and all of a sudden I see something jumping around, the chipmunk was still alive, she was just playing with it. The chipmunk scurried up a small tree I'd been pruning and was there for a while while. Our cat guarded the tree and my son tormented the cat with leaves and grass clippings. Finally the cat had enough of my son and left the tree and the chipmunk escaped. In between all of that I was able to run inside grab the camera and take a few pictures.

At Last
Today was an OFF day, where thing are not how you would like them. The little one was a little off today too. He was tired but wouldn't sleep at nap time, when I went to retrieve him after an hour or so he had managed to strip his bed, reach the baby wipe bag and throw them all over the room. He thinks it's great fun...(sigh).... If only wet wipes were the only problem I had with my day. The thing is my problems are not big problems they are simple ones that all piled up one day to consume me. Hopefully they will leave me alone tomorrow so I can function properly. Does that happen to you?

Window of Faith
A visited another church this morning, a Quaker meeting. This experience was different and unfamiliar, if I hadn't seen a friend in the congregation and had a chance to talk to her afterward I would have left very bewildered. The Quaker meetings are mostly silent, more of a chance for members to self reflect, ponder and occasionally express their thoughts or ideas to the group. I wasn't aware of this at first, I was waiting and waiting for something to happen, somone to get up and preach and no one did. Then a member took me out and explained, I returned to sit for another 40 min. They concluded the meeting with handshakes announcements and refreshments. They have a rich history in the area where I live. They run a historic one room school house where 4th graders get to reenact life as a school child 100's of years ago. My daughter really enjoyed the field trip last year. The church has evolved over the years, not as strict as it was originally. Still I have never been in a more silent meeting hall. It makes my regular church services I attend sound like a jungle. I think our family will work on reverence a bit more and if they are still struggling I might take them to visit a Quaker meeting to learn a thing or two. I also want to say that I respect each individuals right to worship as they choose. I have seen many good things come from people who are active in their faith regardless of what denomination.
